Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for depilating the skin human comprising a housing in which is mounted in rotation of a generally cylindrical epilation head, comprising pinch blades cooperating in pairs for pinch the hairs and pluck them out due to the rotation.

Ces disques peuvent également être mobiles et constituer des lames venant en appui contre d'autres lames en forme de disques (EP-A-0328426).Devices of this type known for example according to FR-A-2556939, and EP-A-0328426 and 0403315, include a rotary roller made up of complete or indented discs. These discs are often fixed (FR-A-2556939 and EP-A-0403315) and in this case the movable blades bear against the discs for pinching hairs. These discs can also be mobile and constitute blades coming to bear against other disc-shaped blades (EP-A-0328426).

In all these devices, the discs rest on the skin. Due to the small contact surface of these discs with the skin, these rotating at high speed can irritate the skin by producing an effect of saw.

In addition, the rotating discs hinder the movement of the epilation head in the direction parallel to its axis. Such displacement generates friction which irritates the skin.

The object of the invention is to remedy the drawbacks of the hair removal devices above.

Un apparail de ce type est connu du document EP-A-0 328 426.The invention thus relates to an apparatus for depilating human skin comprising a housing in which is rotatably mounted a hair removal head of generally cylindrical shape, comprising nip blades cooperating in pairs to nip the hairs and tear them off due to rotation. An apparatus of this type is known from document EP-A-0 328 426.

According to the invention, this device is characterized in that the blades are adjacent on one side to a cylindrical surface smooth coaxial with the axis of rotation of the head and the other side to an elongated recessed area extending parallel to the alignment of the blades, this zone itself being adjacent to another diametrically opposite smooth cylindrical surface at the first, said hollow zone being situated in front of the blades relative to the direction of rotation of the head.

The device thus no longer has a disc.

Pinch blades are between surfaces cylindrical that make contact with the skin without causing no pain, no irritation.

In addition, thanks to these smooth contact surfaces, the device has greater movement mobility in the direction the axis of rotation of the epilation head, which increases its efficiency.

On the other hand, the hollow area, located in front of the blades, allows, when the head is rotated, the hairs to straighten before being pinched between the blades, which guarantees the efficiency of hair removal.

According to an advantageous version of the invention, the hollow area includes near the edge of the smooth cylindrical surface a series of small brushes.

These small brushes straighten the hairs lying by the contact with cylindrical and smooth surfaces and allow thus effective pinching and pulling of the hairs.

According to a preferred version of the invention, the hollow area includes a series of pins near one of the sides of the blades whose vertex is located on a virtual cylinder coaxial to the axis of the head and in which the two are inscribed smooth cylindrical surfaces.

These pins prevent the epilation head from jumping on the skin on passing the hollow area and produce on the skin a massage effect reducing pain due to tearing of fur.

Also preferably, the blades are mounted in recesses formed in a block, separated from each other by walls whose outer edge is set back from said virtual cylinder, the outer edge of the blades making protruding above the outer edge of said walls.

This arrangement improves the removal efficiency of the short hairs, without increasing pain.

Also preferably, each wall separating the recesses comprises substantially in its extension several pins.

The pins advantageously have a width measured in the direction of elongation of the hollow area which decreases gradually from the adjacent wall of the block.

In a particular version, the surface of said surfaces smooth cylindrical includes an anti-friction coating.

This arrangement improves the sliding of the head depilation on the skin and therefore increases its effectiveness.

Furthermore, the apparatus may include means for cool the smooth cylindrical surfaces of the head to reduce pain even more.

Other features and advantages of the invention will appear even more in the description below.

Furthermore, the recessed area 6 comprises near one of the sides of the blades 3,4 a series of pins 9 whose apex is located on a virtual cylinder 10 (see Figure 4) coaxial with the axis X-X 'of the head 2 and in which the two are inscribed smooth cylindrical surfaces 5, 5a.

Figures 1 and 5 show that the head 2 has two series 7 diametrically opposed brushes and two recessed areas 6 carrying pins 9 also diametrically opposite.

We see in Figures 1 and 5 that the blades 3, 4 are mounted in recesses 11 formed in a block 12 and, separated the from each other by walls 13 whose outer edge is set back from virtual cylinder 10 (see Figure 4).

La figure 4 montre d'autre part que le bord extérieur des lames 3, 4 fait saillie au dessus du bord extérieur des parois 13.Figure 4 also shows that the outer edge of the blades 3, 4 protrudes above the outer edge of the walls 13.

As indicated in particular in FIG. 5, each recess 11 has two blades 3, 4, one of which 4 is fixed and resting against the wall 13 of the recess and the other 3 of which is movable towards the fixed blade 4. The movable blades 3 are mounted pivoting inside the block 12 and their displacement towards the other blades 4 is provided by well known means in particular by the patents cited in the introduction of the present description.

Block 12 includes a second series of recesses 11 diametrically opposite to the first and in which are mounted blades.

We also see in Figures 1, 2 and 5 that each wall 13 separating the recesses 11 comprises substantially in its extension of several pins 9.

As shown in Figure 5, the pins 9 have a width measured in the direction of elongation D of the zone in hollow 6 which gradually decreases from the wall 13 adjacent to block 12 towards the small brushes 7.

This arrangement makes it possible to define on the side of the pins 9 an inclined surface 5 which guides the bristles between the blades 3, 4.

The surface of said smooth cylindrical surfaces 5, 5a can include an anti-friction coating for example in polytetrafluoroethylene or felt.

The apparatus may also include means such as Peltier elements for cooling said surfaces cylindrical 5, 5a in order to alleviate the pain due to hair removal.

The apparatus just described operates as follows.

When head 2 rotates in direction R (see figures 1 and 3), the small brushes 7 lift the bristles.

The straightened hairs then arrive in the hollow area 6 which prevent them from going back to bed.

The pins 9 prevent the head 2 from jumping due to the hollow 6. In addition, these pins 9 by rubbing against the skin massage it, which alleviates the pain when the hairs are pinched and torn between the blades 3, 4.

The fact that the outer edge of the blades 3, 4 protrudes at the above the walls 13 which are set back relative to the virtual cylinder 10 promotes uprooting of short hairs.

The smooth cylindrical surfaces 5, 5a promote good sliding of the head on the skin, without irritating the latter and ensure good mobility of it in all directions.
