Es ist bekannt, daß nach dem Rupfen .des Geflügels, sei es mit der Hand oder einer Rupfvorrichtung, die sogenannten Blut- oder Federkiele in der Haut sitzenbleiben. Die Entfernung ,dieser Blutkiele bedeutet eine mühsame Arbeit, auch mittels einer diesem Zwecke dienenden bekannten, zangenähnlichen Vorrichtung, welche Geschicklichkeit und Zeit erfordert.Device for removing blood quills (quills) from plucked Poultry. Dies geschieht mittels einer Messerwalze, deren stumpfe Messer über einen Kamm schleifen, so daß die Blutkiele beim Drehen der Messerwalze zwischen Messer und Kamm eingeklemmt werden und dadurch, daß die stumpfen Kanten der Messer geriffelt sind, beim Weiterdrehen der Messerwalze herausgezogen werden. @' Die Zeichnung zeigt eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform der Erfindung, und zwar in Abb. r im Längsschnitt und in Abb. 2 in Ansicht von unten. In einem Gehäuse a befindet sich die Messerwalze b, welche mittels des Nockens c und .des damit verbundenen Hebels d in absatzweise Drehung versetzt wird. - Bei der Drehung der Messerwalze b werden die in -die Öffnung h hineinragenden Blutkiele zwischen Messer b und Kamm e eingeklemmt und dadurch, daß die Kanten der Messer b geriffelt sind (wie in Abb. 2 ersichtlich), von diesen mit hineingezogen.
