Abstract

Shower cubicle assembly providing new comfort with very good conditions of safety, leak-tightness and appearance. It consists of a collecting tub 1, almost entirely covered by a platform 7 on which the person taking the shower may move around, and which is attached horizontally above the bottom. A rigid thermoformed screen 9 completes this device which is integral with the internal walls 10 of the sides of the tub, creating a lateral access space formed by a horizontal slab II which is raised with respect to the base of the tub. A regular space 13 by which water flows away, separates the access slab II from the platform 7. Bottom walls 14 to 20 protect the partitions creating reserve spaces 51, 53, 54 or projecting spaces 50 which determine the useful and "customised" variants by the adjunction of jardinieres, illuminated boxes or the like according to two different embodiments. Description

The present invention relates to a shower cabin assembly consisting of standardized elements, some of which have the distinction of being "personalized" on demand, as will appear in the description which follows.

 Whatever the embodiment, shower trays are generally presented as more or less wide and deep receptacles, capable of collecting, retaining or retaining a certain amount of dripping water. However and contrary to the moment in the bath, during a shower with the use of a tray, the waste water must be quickly evacuated by a siphon plug secured to the bottom of the tray. Often, however, during their ablutions, the shower user more or less stumbles in this wastewater and risks slipping depending on whether the evacuation of the water is slow or fast.

 .Moreover, to prevent any untimely projection of water outside the volume provided for taking the shower, we use various more or less complicated screen devices offering, depending on the case, only a relative seal and whose aspect left to be desired depending on the seniority. Indeed, depending on the location and when it comes to achieving a kind of cabin, despite the diversity of existing systems, with fixed, pivoting, sliding walls, equipped with doors, with one or more leaves, etc ..., we find almost the same drawbacks and very average solutions to the relative complexity of certain structural assemblies and faulty seals at the level of connections to receivers and masonry works; all ultimately very expensive compared to the results, including the aesthetic aspect.

 .The same observations apply to "upscale" bathroom installations whose shower sets, unless completely made to measure, are subject to the same drawbacks despite the use of another, more luxurious type of material. , more neat in appearance but often with such average performance.

 According to the invention, the purpose of the shower cubicle assembly is to offer new comfort to the user, in excellent conditions of safety, tightness and appearance with several possible implantation options.

Different elements make up this shower cabin assembly, as well
.Access to the actual shower location is by entering a horizontal slab raised by I5 to 20 cm from the reference level of the room where the installation is planned. This access slab is preferably made in a single piece, placed on a masonry support, previously erected on site according to the rules of the art, between two partitions for the angle installation or three partitions for the installation in recess.

These partitions, covered with an appropriate facing, form the bottom walls of the shower cubicle assembly and surround the access slab laterally. The small internal crown which borders this recess is smooth and circular, its top is flat and wide, preferably of 7 to 8 cm. Towards the interior of the channel, its edges, preferably 7 to 9 cm high, are slightly oblique and the angles are slightly rounded to facilitate demolding during manufacture. Towards the central recess, the cylindrical edge is smooth and vertical with a height of more or less I4 cm and has at its lower base four rounded legs, molded in the mass or attached and drilled in the center in order to maintain by screwing the whole container well in contact with the ground and prevent any displacement.

 .The internal crown, at the same time as it contributes to forming the path of water towards its rapid evacuation, also aims to receive and support a horizontal plate characteristic of the invention and making further the object of a particular description.

 The outer crown, the largest, delimits the outer edges of the tray itself. It is preferably of polygonal shape with eight sides towards the outside and polygonal or round towards the inside of the channel. Its top is flat, preferably 5 to 6 cm wide with, on the flat of five of its catés, a series of two notches per side, regularly spaced more or less 20 cm, molded in the mass of the material plastic which composes the tray, thus forming a series of footprints able to receive the flat branches of metal fixing brackets securing a decorative facade facing around the tray. These brackets are provided screwed into the indentations so that no prominence emerges beyond the flat surface of the crown, thus allowing perfect adhesion of the horizontal decorative slabs which, when finished, cover the flat top of the outer crown of the tray -recipient.  .The water path (or channel) that constitutes the space between the two outer and inner rings is made so as to provide a sufficient slope of a few millimeters favoring the rapid evacuation of wastewater via the bung siphoid. This is fixed with the appropriate joints in a hollow circular imprint made at the bottom of the channel, centered at the lowest point relative to the slope. To do this and more precisely, a second 2 cm thick round plate is attached to the lower surface (below) of the evolutions tray, glued, screwed or molded according to the chosen embodiment. On this second plate, at the previously well-identified locations, four metal legs are counter-bent with the S-shaped profile, the longest branch of which, oriented towards the center of the plate, is screwed securely to the latter using two screws on dowels. .At the moment of locking by a horizontal circular movement from right to left, the outer branch, the shortest on each leg, will come into contact, just under a corresponding horizontal stop, molded or attached by screwing on the inner edge of the small ring of the tray, which thus ensures the necessary stability of the tray of evolutions.

 .Depending on the embodiment chosen and the materials used, the shape of the development plate is preferably polygonal with eight sides, corresponding to the shape of the outer ring of the container. This sheet is folded or bent hot according to the polygonal or round shape of the evolution tray to which it is matched as a screen. This thermoforming operation aims to allow the screen to conform to the exact profile of the internal contours of the crown which limits the receiving tray, in the case of an evolutionary tray of polygonal shape; to adapt perfectly (as a semicircle inscribed) inside the same crown in the case of a round evolution tray. It is notched longitudinally to mid-height, thus creating a protruding horizontal support 6 or 8 mm deep on which the base of the screen rests. A threaded orifice with a diameter suitable for that of the connecting screw is made 'at the base in the thickness of the part, in accordance with the corresponding orifice of the other part, in order to receive the connecting screw. The notched upper part of the part is provided with a bore, the conical orifice of which receives a countersunk head screw at the time of its fixing, the latter engaging deeply in the insert provided as reinforcement.

The originality of this arrangement, which will allow a certain number of variants contributing to the personalization of the assemblies, lies essentially in the fact that, depending on the layout, the external facing obtained by the juxtaposition of the bottom walls is advanced, obliquely or protruding, in certain precise places with respect to the fixed partitions situated behind, thus sparing different spaces of variable and empty triangular surfaces (right-angled triangle).

 -A space projecting from one of the partitions, borders the access to the shower cubicle assembly.
