Abstract

A composite ladies' garment comprises a sleeveless dress, or sleeveless blouse and skirt combination, provided with a separate component which forms a pair of fixed sleeves for optional use. The sleeve component consists of a cylindrical tube of fabric with a longitudinal slit along the central zone. The arms are inserted through the slit and out through the ends of the tube, leaving the central part of the tube covering the upper back and the shoulders. This is a simple, inexpensive alternative to the provision of capes or jackets for use with sleeveless garments in inclement conditions.
