Abstract

The clip esp. for installing a roofing slate comprises a rod (11) carrying a point (12) at one end which is hammered into a roof support and a hook (14) at the other end which receives the edge of a slate. The point and hook lie in the same plane but on opposite sides of the rod. The point is formed by bending the rod back on itself over a portion (16) so that the point is stepped back from the end of the rod.
