A cet effet, l'invention propose un crochet pour un élément de couverture, tel qu'une ardoise, du type comprenant une jambe dont les deux extrémités comportent 10 respectivement un moyen de fixation de la jambe sur un support, tel qu'une volige ou un liteau, et une pince de retenue de la bordure inférieure de l'élément de couverture, et qui est caractérisé en ce que le moyen de fixation comprend des crans externes permettant de fixer 15 rigidement le crochet au support. Selon un premier mode de réalisation, le moyen de fixation est constitué par une pointe destinée à pénétrer dans le matériau à base de bois du support et comportant sur au moins une partie de sa longueur une série de crans 20 externes permettant de fixer rigidement le crochet au support.
