Abstract

The panel has an interior layer (1) of plastics, thermally insulating material on which is fixed an exterior protective layer (2). The panel has at least along one of its edges a recessed part (3) which receives a fixing nail or screw (4). Along one of the other panel sides, the protective layer (2) extends beyond the edge of the panel so that it overlaps the recessed part of an adjacent similar panel to conceal the head of the fixing nail. The outer face of the protective layer may be provided with decorative motifs.
