Abstract

The wall structure has a dry-applied external cladding. Each element comprises a bottom panel with imitation brick or similar exterior, and a top panel offset rearwards, with a connecting component between them. When arranged in rows these two sets of panels overlap, with leaves of liquid-proof material forming a barrier behind each row. The lower ends of the leaves engage between the overlapping panels of the next row below. A layer of resilient material is mounted between each of the rows of cladding and the exterior of the substructure. A pre-formed, continuous or broken strip of pliant material is also provided between the bearing surfaces formed by the connecting components of one row and the lower ends of the next row above.
