Abstract

<P> The invention relates to a wall. <BR/> The wall consists of plates arranged in a plane and it is characterized in that the plates (5) are mounted dry and in that profiles (9) of elastic material are interposed horizontally between the plates to transfer and distribute the weight of the plates. <BR/> The invention applies in particular to the use of the wall as a facing, in particular in front of a wall structure to which the wall is connected. </P>

Description

 The invention relates to a wall made up of plates arranged in a plane and to a wall structure comprising such a wall fixed to a frame.

 Such a wall is for example a wall for facing use but this application is not limiting.

 I1 is known to produce such walls by masonry the plates to each other.

 This masonry is a restrictive and expensive operation.

 The present invention aims to avoid these drawbacks.

 According to the invention, the plates are mounted dry and profiles of elastic material are interposed horizontally between the plates to transfer and distribute the weight of the plates.

 Preferably, the plates have longitudinally grooved upper and / or lower fields and the elastic sections comprise a section portion introduced into the grooves of the upper fields and / or lower fields.

An exemplary embodiment will be described below, with reference to the figures of the attached drawing in which

 The structure shown in the figures comprises a framework, wood or metal, of which an upright 1 has been shown coated on one side, which will be the inner side facing the housing of a plasterboard 2 and coated, on the outer side, d 'a rain screen 3, while an insulating material 4 provides the lining of the frame between the plasterboard and the rain screen. This insulating lining is normally provided, on one or both sides, with a vapor barrier.

 Such a structure is well known per se and it is not necessary to describe it in more detail.

 Rectangular facing plates 5, for example sandstone plates, are arranged in a vertical plane, at a distance from the framework, on the side opposite to the plasterboard 2, and a device constituted for example by vertical metal rails 6, applied against said uprights and fixed to them, and which have vertical grooves 6a in which legs 7 are held captive, ensures the connection between this framework and the plates and the transfer to the framework of the forces of wind, shock and buckling.

 The device with rails 6 and legs 7 allows vertical expansion.

 The upper and lower horizontal fields of the plates 5 have longitudinal grooves 8 continuous or discontinuous and the legs 7 are profiles which have an end 7a inserted and trapped in the groove 6a of a rail 6 and one end 7b introduced simultaneously in grooves upper two contiguous plates 5 of the same horizontal file and / or, in the lower grooves of the two plates located immediately above the two plates previously considered. A tab therefore serves to fix two or four plates, due to its cooperation with the contiguous angles of the four plates. This provision is not limitative and other provisions can be adopted.

 According to the invention, profiles 9 of elastic material have a vertical part 9a introduced into the upper grooves 7 of the plates 5, and a horizontal part 9b which lies flat on the upper field of the plates and which will therefore be interposed each time between two overlapping plates.

 In a very simple embodiment, like the one shown, the elastic profiles 9 therefore have a T-shaped cross section.

 The tabs 7 are preferably made of aluminum or other light metal while the sections 9 are preferably made of synthetic rubber.

 The vertical dimensions of the grooves and of the parts 7a and 9a, 9b are chosen so that the weight of the plates 5 is transmitted vertically by the elastic profiles and not by the tabs.

 Note that the vertical joints between the facing plates constitute air gaps.

 The invention is not limited to a particular device for holding the facing plates relative to the frame and the device described (profiles 6 and 7) is only one example.

Claims (8)

 1. Wall made up of plates arranged in a plane, characterized in that the plates (5) are mounted dry and in that profiles (9) made of elastic material are interposed horizontally between the plates to transfer and distribute the weight of the plates .
 2. Wall according to claim 1, characterized in that the plates have horizontal upper and lower fields, and in that grooves (8) are provided in at least some fields for mounting said profiles (9) in elastic material .
 3. Wall according to claim 2, characterized in that said elastic profiles have a T-shaped section so as to have a vertical part (9a) introduced into a groove and a horizontal part (9b) interposed between two plates.
 4. Application of a wall according to one of claims 1 to 3 as a wall facing.
 5. Application according to claim 4, characterized in that the wall comprises a framework (1) and in that said wall is connected to the framework by a device (6, 7) ensuring the transfer to the framework of the forces of wind, shock and buckling.
 6. Application according to claim 5, characterized in that said device comprises connecting lugs (7) which have one end inserted into said grooves of several plates.
 7. Application according to claim 6, characterized in that the connecting lugs (7) have one end inserted into the grooves of two or four contiguous plates.
 8. Application according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the device comprises vertical rails (6) fixed to the frame (1) and which have vertical grooves (6a) in which said legs (7) are held captive .
