Abstract

  The present invention relates to a skirting board or corner strip, intended to border plate slabs, in particular ceramic, and which has a fastening branch and a branch of

  finishing or curling forming the base and perpendicular to the first.

  In the pavement of the partitions, the bases or feet of the wall, in particular in the case of ceramic plates or the like, are generally constituted by cut-off elements or specially shaped foundation plates which are placed on the floor slab and fixed or secured to the wall. The joints are then

  The upper end of the bending branch is provided so that its edge forms a recess heel on its rear part. This branch can therefore play the role of a closed or semi-open hollow profile in which can engage a frontal profile protection. Such skirting board according to the invention can, thanks to its thin fastening branch, be housed in a layer of adhesive or mortar between the base substrate and the slab plate to put in place. The mortar and / or glue impregnate into the recesses of the fastening branch, so that the latter and the cover plate are intimately connected.   retained and deflected outward.

  The baseboard designated by the numeral 6 in Figure 1 is preferably constituted by an extruded section of metal, for example aluminum or brass. This strip has a very thin fastening branch 61, with a thickness of 0.5 to 1.5 mm maximum, which can be accommodated in the usual thin layer of glue or the like, which penetrates through the recesses 62.   Such a profile according to the invention, particularly usable in wet locations such as outside a building, can naturally be implemented in other areas of construction and in particular for the realization of bases in which may appear tensions between the ground and the

wall wall nearby.
