Abstract

The tile carries, on its rear face, at least one ridge shaped like a gutter which extends across the upper region of the tile (1). The ridge locates over a lath the upper edge of which is correspondingly shaped to fit under the internal face (5,6) of the ridge. The ridge (2) extends over the whole width of the tile and defines a recessed channel with a step (12) in the tile into which the lath locates. The step is of a lower height than the ridge.
