Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a waterproof watch case and more

  particularly a sealing system

  between the bottom and the middle-bezel of an extra watch

  flat, that is to say with a thickness of less than 4 mm.

  The present invention relates to a watch case

  waterproof extra-flat characterized in that the middle-

  bezel which has a thickness substantially equal to

  that of the box has a lower shoulder intended

  The main advantage of such a seal lies in the fact that it seals simultaneously between the bottom, the middle-bezel and the casing ring, and especially

  that it is entirely lodged in recesses of the car-

  rure-telescope and the circle of emboltage, so that it does not increase in any way the thickness of the box and that it is not accessible, nor visible from the outside of the boot. The dimensions of the seal 10, 11, 12 are such that, in the illustrated operating position, it is compressed in its

  between the bottom 1, on the one hand, and the circle of

  box 8 and the middle-bezel 2, on the other hand. Furthermore,

  This gives a perfect seal up to several atmospheres, for example 3 to 4 atmospheres with a single seal manufacturing and implementation very easy, and especially not causing any increase in the thickness of the extra-flat box. This construction is very easy to achieve because the machining is simple and an immediate assembly,

  so that the quality of the waterproof padding can be easily

guaranteed.

  In the second embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2, the seal comprises only two wings 10, 11 and

  thus presents in section a general shape of a square.

  In this case, the casing ring 8 has the cross-sectional shape of an L. The seal 10, 11 is, in its operating position, axially compressed in its entirety between the bottom 1 and the casing ring 8 and radially

  between this sealing ring 8 and the caseband 2.

  Here we find the same advantages as in the

  first embodiment described.

  It is obvious that this described sealing system can be used indifferently with circular box or

  of form, which is still an added advantage.

- R E V E N D I C A T I ON   1. Ultra-thin waterproof watch case, characterized in that the carrurelunette (2), which has a thickness   practically equal to that of the box, includes a shoulder-   lower part (3) for receiving a bottom (1) and in that an annular seal (10, 11, 12) has at least two flanges (10, 11) in cross-section, the first (10O) being clamped between the bottom (1) and a casing ring (8) supporting the movement and the second (11) clamped between   the middle-bezel (2) and the casing ring (8).   2. Box according to claim 1, characterized in that the seal (10, 11, 12) comprises a third wing (12)   compressed between the bottom (1) and the middle-telescope (2).   3. Box according to claim 1, characterized in that the seal (10, 11, 12) has in cross section the shape of an L. 4.
