Abstract

The greenhouse has a roof formed by a plastics sheet (9) suspended from vertical posts (1,2). It uses the sheet to support a water filled tube (10) which can be used to obtain heat from solar radiation. One end (3) of the sheet can be lowere than the other end (4) so that the sheet is divided by the tube into two portions (11,12) of different slope and area. The height can be controlled by adjusting the anchorages (e.g. 6) up and down the posts (1) to which they are attached. The edges of the sheet can be formed into loops (7,8) holding stiffening rods (5,6) supported by hooks (3,4) at different heights. At these anchorage points are installed tilting flaps to control ventilation.
