Abstract

DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a device for sheltering motor vehicles from the sun during their parking.

 When motor vehicles are parked in the sun, they experience a very high temperature rise, which causes inconvenience to the user when he returns to his car and has harmful effects on the paint, the interior fittings and the content of the vehicle.

 The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks.

 The main difficulty in solving, when one wants to shelter an automobile from the sun using a device resting on it, lies in the length of the automobile, which is around 4 meters. Stretching a canvas of this length over the automobile involves supports that are very securely attached to the vehicle. The realization of such supports implies either that they are provided by the manufacturer, or that they are made after the construction of the vehicle, and therefore that it is necessary to carry out holes and welds on the bodywork or the shields. shocks.

 Another difficulty lies in the time taken to set up the device. Parking in the sun can be relatively short - and it only takes a short time to be exposed to the sun to dramatically raise the temperature inside the vehicle. The installation of the device must therefore be able to be done quickly and simply. In addition, the device must be able to be stored easily in the car and must therefore be able to be folded easily and placed in a box or a bag of small dimensions.

 The device according to the invention solves all these difficulties.

 I1 in fact comprises solid or hollow tubes of resistant material, fixed on magnetic supports. The magnetic tube-support assembly is placed at different locations on the body of the motor vehicle, for example on the roof, the engine, the boot or the tailgate and the doors. Cloths pierced with eyelets at their edges are fixed to the tubes by simple passage of the free part of the tube in the eyelet. In order to allow the vertical blocking of the canvas, the tube has a bulge, fixed or sliding, situated at the appropriate height so that there is sufficient space between the canvas and the bodywork, suitable for ensuring air circulation. In order to avoid the eviction of the canvas from its supports, the tubes may be provided, at their free end, with a stop device such as a plug, into which the end of the tube is inserted.

 The fabrics provided by the device are 6 (six) (this fractionation solves the fixing problems which are linked to the maintenance of a large canvas), namely: a canvas covering the roof of the automobile, a canvas covering the part which extends from the front edge of the roof to the front part of the front hood, a canvas covering the part which extends from the rear edge of the roof to the rear end of the boot or the rear tailgate, two side fabrics covering the part that extends from the side edge of the roof to the bottom of the doors.

 As regards the canvas covering the roof, it can generally be maintained, at a height of about fifteen centimeters above the roof, by a set of six supports.

 The front, rear and side fabrics will be fixed on the one hand on the supports resting on the roof, on the other hand at their other end on two supports each.

In addition to its own interest, the device according to the invention can constitute an original and effective advertising medium. In fact each of the paintings can bear inscriptions.

 A simplified variant of the invention may consist in protecting from the sun, in addition to the vehicle roof, only the glazed parts of the latter. For this purpose, the front, rear and side fabrics may be on the one hand of smaller dimensions and on the other hand remain free at their lower end.

 By way of nonlimiting example, the tubes (1) will have a total height of around 20 centimeters and a diameter of around 5 millimeters. The fabrics will have an appropriate length and width to cover the various types of motor vehicles in use.

Claims (2)

1) Device for sheltering motor vehicles from the sun during their parking, characterized in that it comprises tubes fixed on magnetic supports, placed at different locations in the body of the motor vehicle and supporting six-part canvases, namely a fabric covering the roof of the motor vehicle, a fabric covering the front part of the vehicle, a fabric covering the rear part of the vehicle, two fabrics covering the lateral parts of the vehicle, said fabrics being pierced with eyelets at their edges, fixed to the tubes by simple passage of the free part of the tube in the eyelet, held a few centimeters from the surface of the body by a fixed or sliding bulge located at a good height on the tube, and prevented from leaving the tube by a stop device such as a plug placed on the free end of the tube. 2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that it protects from the sun, in addition to the roof of the motor vehicle, only the glazed parts thereof by means of front, rear and side fabrics of smaller dimensions fixed, at their upper end, to the tubes in a manner identical to that described in claim 1 and remaining free at their lower end.
