Abstract

The edges of the cover may be secured to battens 42 or be secured between a tube and a C-sectioned member engaged therearound, Fig. 9 (not shown), a device 52 for opening and closing the gap between two panels 48 (e.g. for ventilation) 5 comprises a flexible plastics sheet 52 secured to frame members 54 which overlap the edges 48 of the gap and which are attached to arms 56 pivoted at 58 to the greenhouse's frame 44, the sheet including a central weight 24 which biases it to the open position (shown in dashed lines). Cables 59 are used to close the device. A further openable panel is provided by a triangular frame 74 pivoted at 76 and having wires 78, 79 from opposite ends of the triangles base wound in opposite directions around a spindle 80 so that rotation of the spindle pivots the frame 74.
