Abstract

A connection for a single-leaf or multi-leaf movable wall unit is described, in which the movable wall units which adjoin one another at vertical edges exhibit hooks on one side and openings on the other side in their vertical edge area. The openings provided in the wall units designed as half-shells are hook-shaped with an open leg of the hook facing the limit of the edge, which leg is preferably arranged horizontally and is adjoined by a vertical hook leg of the hook-shaped opening. Preferably the openings are arranged on the side faces of wall units in the form of narrow strip grid coverings. The hooks which engage in the holes are expediently arranged on standing profiles, which serve as reinforcement, in the form of wide wall panels. When assembling the wall, the wall units are brought into a slightly raised position and then, from a position parallel to the laterally adjoining wall unit, pressed perpendicularly with respect to the latter into a position flush with the wall unit. In this way each opening locks into a hook, thus providing quick and fireproof connection of the wall units.

Description

 The present invention relates to a connecting device for elements of removable partitions, made in one piece or comprising several wall elements, arranged vertically edge to edge, comprising fixing hooks mounted at regular intervals in openings formed along the edges vertical of these Elements.

 German patent application No. 2 808 328, published before examination, describes a connection for elements of removable partitions whose vertical edges are curved to form a groove, arranged in such a way that it can engage in the vertical edge of an adjacent element. This snap-on connection is ensured by elastic protuberances. Such a connection is made and mounted in a particularly rapid manner but does not guarantee the safety required in the event of a fire, since it easily breaks down under the effect of the forces generated by non-uniform heating.

 British patent no. 879,738 describes a partition made up of assemblable elements having on the one hand openings and on the other hand complementary hooks. The hooks must be engaged in the openings by displacement of the wall element in a direction parallel to the wall, this positioning having to be carried out without visibility, which makes the operation particularly difficult.

 The present invention proposes to overcome the drawbacks of the prior art by making a simple connection to manufacture and assembly and giving all the necessary guarantees in terms of safety in the event of fire.

 This object is achieved by a connection device according to the invention characterized in that the openings formed in the elements of partitions composed, preferably of two wall elements, have a hook shape and have an open branch delimiting both the edge of these items. The partition element having hook-shaped openings can be easily assembled to the adjacent element by a simple operation consisting in slightly lifting this element vertically until the hooks hook into each other.

 If, during a fire causing non-uniform heating, one of the elements is offset slightly with respect to the other, the bending forces generated cannot in any case release the connection between these elements.

 According to a preferred embodiment> for each opening, a vertical hook branch is adapted to an open branch of this hook arranged horizontally and delimiting the edge of the elements.

Advantageously, the openings arranged on the lateral front surfaces of the partition elements have a shape of narrow covering strip and the hooks which engage in said openings are mounted on reinforcement profiles fixed on the edges constituted by wall panels. very wide.

The hooks are preferably formed during a simple stamping and folding operation of the reinforcing profiles.

 During assembly and disassembly, narrow cover strips can be used, these strips being engaged by their openings in the hooks of the large wall panels.

 With reference to FIG. 1, the central element in the form of a covering or joining strip 1 is fixed on its two sides respectively to a wall panel 2 of large width. The vertical edges of each wall panel are defined respectively by two supports 3, constituting reinforcing profiles at the angles of these panels. These panels 2 are preferably constituted by two wall elements assembled by connecting ribs 4, which are engaged in the slots 5 of the reinforcement profiles 3. Each wall element constituting the partition element 2 comprises an outer mantle 6 in sheet steel, a panel 7 made of a mixture of fibers and plaster, and an insulating layer 8.

The reinforcement profiles 3 comprise hooks 9 oriented upwards and produced by a stamping and folding operation, these hooks being used to make the connection with the covering strip 1.

The covering or joining strip 1 is also constituted by two half-shells, but its construction is lighter than that of the wall panels. Each half-shell has an outer coat of sheet steel 10 and two plaster and fiber panels 11. Between these panels there is a single thick layer of insulating fibers.

 The lateral front surfaces of the joining strip 1 are formed by folds 13 of the lateral edges of the mantle 10 made of sheet steel. These flanges 13 have openings 14, located at the height of the hooks 9 and intended to be engaged in these hooks as shown in more detail in Figure 2, where the openings 14 are shown squared.

 The openings 14 have a hook shape, the lower branch of which defines the edge is open. A horizontal branch is attached to a vertical hook branch. In FIG. 2, the junction strip 1 is shown in its mounted position, in which the hooks 9 are engaged in the openings 14. When mounting the partition, it suffices to 'bring the connecting strips 1 in a slightly raised position relative to the adjacent wall panels 2, then lowered in such a way that each opening 14 comes to snap into a hook 9.

The hooks 9 and the openings 14 can for example be located along the upper edges of the partition elements at distances of the order of "60 cm.

Along the folds 13, provision is made to mount sealing elements 15 formed in longitudinal grooves, to ensure a perfect junction between the covering strip and the adjacent wall panels.

Connecting device for elements of removable partitions, made in one piece or comprising several wall elements, arranged vertically edge to edge, comprising fixing hooks mounted at regular intervals in openings formed along the vertical edges of these elements, characterized in that the openings (14) formed in the partition elements (1) preferably composed of two wall elements, have a hook shape and have an open branch delimiting the edge of these elements.  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that for each opening (14) a vertical hook branch is adapted an open hook branch arranged horizontally and delimiting the edge of the elements.  3. Device according to any one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the openings (14) arranged on the lateral front surfaces (12) of the partition elements have a shape of narrow covering strip (1) and in that the hooks (9) which engage in said openings (14), are mounted on the reinforcement profiles (3) fixed on the edges, constituted by wall panels (2) of great width.
