Abstract

Hand loom for domestic use has sliding rings or heald eyes inserted between the teeth or dents on the reed. The shed is formed by lifting individual heald eyes in the reed. There is thus only need for a single heald frame, which doubles as a reed. Deep sheds, to accommodate multiple heald frames are no longer necessary. The process of drawing-in or threading-up is simplified, as all the heald eyes are in the same plane.

Description

The present invention relates to weaving looms for arms used for hobbies and crafts. It consists of a comb incorporating a device for lifting the warp threads.

In the classical technique the crowd is created by heald frames raising or lowering the warp threads.

- rentrage des fils de chaîne dans les ceillets des lisses fastidieux;
- quasi impossibilité de changer d'enfilage en cours de tissnge;
Such a device has many drawbacks:
- Significant depth of the profession due to the presence of managers 3
- re-entry of the warp threads into the eyelets of the tedious healds;
- almost impossible to change threading during weaving;
- sometimes even insufficient height of the crowd when the frame is furthest away from the puigne.

The comb according to the invention makes it possible to avoid these drawbacks while retaining the possibilities and the rigidity of an elassic loom.

The comb indeed has rings in which the warp threads hang. These rings can slip between the teeth of the comb and lift the warp threads, thus creating the crowd.

This therefore makes it possible to remove the frames, thereby saving space in depth.

Once the warp threads are in place in the rings (which presents no more difficulties than passing the threads through the teeth of a conventional comb), the threader proper consists in threading cylindrical bars in loops connected to the rings named above. These loops being largely dimensioned, very accessible and easily retrievable (using colors for example), this threading will be done quickly and without difficulties and will present little risk of errors. In addition, errors will be easily repairable.

On the other hand, the threading only taking place once the chain is in place, it is therefore easy to change the threading during weaving.
The chain wires being raised at the level of the comb, the crowd's height will always be sufficient.

Finally, such a comb can easily be made, which gives it a low price.

- la figure 1 représente schématiquement une vue de Face du peigne;
la figure 2 représente une vue de face partielle du peigne et de ses accessoires, à une échelle suffisante pour permettre la cornpre- hension de l'invention;
- la figure 3 ost une vue de dessus du peigne;;
- la figure 4 est une section du peigne suivant 1 ligne A A de la figure 1;
- les figures 5, 6 et 7 illustrent d'autres modes de fabrication du peigne;
The invention will be better understood and other aims, characteristics, details and advantages thereof will become more apparent during the explanatory description which follows, with reference to the appended schematic drawings given by way of example, illustrating several embodiments and in which
- Figure 1 schematically shows a front view of the comb;
2 shows a partial front view of the comb and its accessories, on a scale sufficient to allow the understanding of the invention;
- Figure 3 is a top view of the comb;
- Figure 4 is a section of the comb along 1 line AA of Figure 1;
- Figures 5, 6 and 7 illustrate other methods of manufacturing the comb;
- Figure 8 schematically illustrates the mechanism for creating the crowd.

The rectangular frame 1 shown in FIG. 1 comprises a large lower side 2, a large upper side 3 and two small sides 4 and 5.

As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the large upper side 3 is composed of two L-shaped rails. The lower side 2 and the sides 4 and 5 are U-shaped rails.

The originality of the comb is clearly visible in FIGS. 2, 3 and 4: the teeth 6 of the comb are mutually parallel and perpendicular to the long sides on which they bear. Each tooth has on each of its lateral faces a groove 7. Rings; can slide between the teeth, guided on the faith by the groove on the left side of the tooth located immediately to the right of the ring and by the groove on the right side of the tooth immediately on the left.

The teeth may be welded or glued to the long sides of the frame. We can weld, glue or braze small spacers to ensure a constant spacing between the teeth. We can also pour a binder to immobilize the teeth in the large lower side.

FIG. 5 illustrates a second embodiment of the comb: the upper side 3 is made up of 2 U-shaped rails. Dant slap having a notch allowing the passage of the 2 U-shaped rails. This second variant will make it possible to obtain combs of greater rigidity. The different modes of immobilization of the destinies previously described can be used here.

FIG. 6 illustrates a third variant of the comb: the rings are distributed over 2 parallel rows, 2 consecutive rings not being on the same row, which makes it possible to obtain deeper grooves and a greater density of teeth per centimeter .

It goes without saying that the comb can be produced both in the mode described in FIG. 5 and that described in FIG. 7.

The teeth are actually two half teeth. The wire connecting the ring to the bar attachment loop is chosen to be of sufficient diameter to prevent a ring from slipping from one gap between two teeth to another.

Figure 8 provides an understanding of the crowd creation mechanism.

By any lifting system (here a pedal 9, a connecting rod 10, pulleys 11)> a bar 12 is lifted to which certain rings 8 are hooked by means of loops 14. The strands 13 passed through these rings are raised and create the crowd.

It goes without saying that modifications can be made to the embodiments which have just been described, in particular by substitution of equivalent technical means without going beyond the scope or the spirit of the invention. .
