Abstract

The bin holding mechanism consists of a horizontal shaft, which is located in a frame and carries a number of radius arms. The bin (31) has a top bracket and a further bracket (30) nearer the bottom. Each arm has a contoured shoe which rests on the side of the bin. The bin is held in position by a double latch (22,29) fitting into slots in the brackets. The latches are actuated by the connecting tie bar, and are in the form of a curved plate on the end of each arm and a toothed structure on the frame respectively. The mechanism is operated by hydraulic cylinders and the bins may be reversed.
