Abstract

The light is incorporated in the thickness of the oven door. The door is double skinned and has a central viewing window, the inner skin having an opening covered by a glass plate aligned with the light bulb, to allow the light to be directed into the oven interior. Pref. two light bulbs are used positioned at diametrically opposed corners of the glass window, so that the light shines into the oven interior when the door is closed at two different levels. The socket for each bulb is pref. attached to a heat insulating sheet between the two spaced door skins with the supply lead fitting through an opening in the hinged edge of the door. The light provides better viewing of the oven contents by positioning the light source between the oven interior and the observer instead of at the back of the oven.

Description

 The present invention relates to a lighting device for a stove oven for domestic use.

 The range ovens, whether heated with gas or electricity, have a closing door with sealing allowing loading and unloading. Most often, the door has a central opening closed by at least one transparent window allowing the vision of the products during the cooking period.

 Given the fact that the opening is relatively small, and that the window or windows closing the latter are frequently tinted, the interior of the oven is very poorly lit from the outside. There is therefore usually provided a specific lighting device for the interior of the furnace by means of a bulb housed outside the enclosure thereof and diffusing the light through an opening which the latter presents. which is closed by a transparent or translucent window.

 In pyrolysis ovens, the bulb is housed at the rear part of the oven, since, for technical reasons, it is not possible to place it at the upper part, which is occupied by organs of 'aeration. In the case of catalysis ovens, the bulb is housed either in the rear wall or in the upper wall.

 In all cases, the lighting is relatively ineffective because it is very dazzling for the user, the product to be seen being between the light source and the eye.

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.

 To this end, the lighting device which it relates comprises at least one bulb housed in the thickness of the door and diffusing light into the oven through an opening which the door has.

 This solution is very interesting because the light source being located between the eye of the user and the product contained in the oven, does not cause any glare. In addition, from a technical point of view, it should be noted that the door is the coldest area of the oven and that, under these conditions, the lighting installation does not suffer from the temperature.

 Advantageously, this device comprises two bulbs housed in the two uprights laterally delimiting the central opening of the oven door, these two bulbs being offset vertically when the door is in the closed position.

 This arrangement provides lighting at different levels of the oven, which allows good simultaneous vision of several products stacked in the oven.

 According to a characteristic of the invention, for each bulb is provided a housing formed in the insulation between the door and the heat-insulating sheet, the socket carrying the bulb and ensuring its supply of electric current being fixed on the heat-insulating sheet .

This arrangement allows an invisible mounting of the bulb to be carried out since the fixing is carried out on the heat-insulating sheet which is hidden in the mounted position of the door. In order to ensure a good finish appearance and protect the bulb, the opening that the storm door has opposite it is closed by a window.

 In addition, the electric current is supplied to the bulbs by a wire penetrating into the door in the lower zone thereof, located near its axis of articulation.

In any case, the invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of an oven equipped with this device. lighting :

 The cooker 2 shown in the drawing comprises an oven designated by the general reference 2, closed by a door 4.

The door of this oven comprises a door 5 and a heat-insulating sheet 6, a thermal insulating material not shown in the drawing being removed housed inside the volume between these two elements.

 This volume is generally annular in shape, a central opening 7 being removed from the door. This opening is closed by two panes 8, an outer pane 9 covering almost the entire front face of the door, with a dynamic air space 10 for cooling between the door proper and the outer pane 9.

 This door is articulated at its lower part about a horizontal axis 12, a handle 13 ^ placed near its upper edge allowing its actuation.

 According to the essential characteristic of the invention, the oven lighting device is housed inside the door. In this case, this door has two lighting devices housed in the lateral uprights located on either side of the central opening, and are offset so as to be at different levels when the door is in the closed position. .

Each device comprises a socket 14 fixed at 15 and 16 on the heat-insulating sheet, carrying a screwed incandescent bulb 17. The power supply is carried out by means of a wire 18 penetrating into the door through an opening 19 provided in the lower edge of it.

 Against the door 5 has, opposite the bulb 17, an opening 20 closed by a glass 22 which can be translucent and play the role of a diffuser.

 As is clear from the foregoing, the device according to the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique by providing the lighting of an oven in a technically simple manner, while being very practical for the user.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the sole embodiment of this oven, described above by way of example; on the contrary, it embraces all of its variant embodiments.

Thus, in particular, the lighting could be achieved not by incandescent bulbs, but by fluorescent tubes without departing from the framework of the intention.

- CLAIMS  1. - Lighting device for a stove oven for domestic use, characterized in that it comprises at least one bulb housed in the thickness of the door and diffusing light into the oven through an opening which has the counter door  2. - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises two bulbs housed in the two uprights laterally delimiting the central opening of the oven door, these two bulbs being offset vertically when the door is in the closed position.  3. - Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that, for each bulb, is provided a housing formed in the insulation between the door and the sheet of insulation, the socket carrying the bulb and ensuring its supply of electric current being fixed on the heat-insulating sheet. 4.- - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the supply of electric current to the bulbs is carried out by a wire penetrating into the door in the lower zone thereof located near its articulation axis.
