Abstract

The heat exchanger consists of a series of tubes (1,2) in parallel and each having an inlet connection (13) and an outlet connection (12,14). The tubes are joined by a series of cross plates (17) which penetrate each tube, and are soaced equally along the tube. The plates are welded to the tube. The tubes may alternatively be replaced by rectangular channels with a bolted side plate or a series of parallel tubes with the (17) penetrating all the tubes.
