Abstract

The fuel heater has a filling plug (2). The lower part of the plug is funnel shaped and is located in a discharge duct (4). The top is located in the inlet manifold (6). The two parts of the heater (3, 5) are welded together with the common flange (8) at the joint. The arrangement allows differential expansion between the components without interfering with the sealing. The upper part of the element (13) is corrugated to improve the heat transfer rate. As is the lower part of the element (11).
