Abstract

Cet acier présente, outre une bonne résistance à la traction et une limite d'étirage favorable, peu de risques de fissuration et un meilleur allongement de rupture. Cet acier ne comprend que deux couches concentriques : un noyau exclusivement en perlite et ferrite et une couche extérieure en martensite adoucie. On y arrive par un refroidissement partant par exemple de 550 degrés , pour atteindre la température de, par exemple, 500 degrés pour laquelle il ne peut pas se former de baïnite B et pour laquelle l'austénite se transforme en perlite P et ferrite F tandis que la couche extérieure refroidie et ensuite réchauffée par la chaleur de transformation se transforme elle-même en martensite adoucie, comme il apparaît sur le graphique ci-joint. Cet acier ainsi obtenu économiquement est destiné à servir d'armature pour le béton en différents diamètres.This steel has, in addition to good tensile strength and a favorable draw limit, little risk of cracking and better elongation at break.
