Abstract
The solenoid has travel-position detection, an armature, a piston rod connected to the armature, an operating coil, a magnetic body, and a position-measuring coil coaxial with the operating coil. The armature(10) forms the soft-magnetic core of the measuring coil (24). The magnetic body(14, 26, 28, 30) guides the magnetic flux produced by the operating coil(22) and measuring coil. Magnetic flux from the operating coil and the magnetic flux from the measuring coil partly travel the same path in the magnetic body. The operating coil and the measuring coil are wound on the same former(20). The voltage induced in the measuring winding is measured and integrated.
