Abstract
1297721 Fluxgate magnetometers ELECTRONIQUE MARCEL DASSAULT 7 May 1971 [11 May 1970] 13609/71 Heading G1N In a fluxgate magnetometer comprising an elongate ferromagnetic core surrounded coaxially by a pick-up coil, the core is periodically saturated by flux produced by passing an alternating current longitudinally through the core itself. The core may be a straight rod Fig. 1 (not shown), U-shaped Fig.4 (not shown) or consist of a central rod and outer sleeve Fig.5, (not shown). In Fig. 6 the core comprises three layers of a ferromagnetic ribbon 44 wound on a support 41, the ribbon having an insulating coating 45, Fig. 8, (not shown).
