Abstract

Flat polyolefin sheet is cut in a pattern which can be folded to make a box with an integral mechanical catch for its lid. The end walls of the box are secured by folded flaps which are held by elastic engagement between a tongue on the flap and a slot at the base of the wall. Specifically claimed are boxes made from polypropylene or from high- or medium-density polyethylene sheet of constant thickness, with improved grooves for the fold zones.
