Abstract

The inspection cover for a high pressure gas supply consists of a circular disc (2) with a locking ring (6). The locking ring has equally spaced radial lugs (7) which engage matching lugs (8) in the housing (1). The cover can be withdrawn by rotating the ring so that its lugs (7) are aligned with the spaces between the housing lugs. For safety the pressure is first released by unscrewing the valve (12). Should this valve be blocked, the ring (2) remains locked by internal pressure pressing the disc (2) upwards, so that radial grooves (13) in the disc engage radial ridges (14) in the ring.
