Abstract

The mask comprises a container (4) which is part-filled with water (7). This can be carried by a strap (8) and has a close-fitting screwed lid which acts as a location (3) for a flexible aspiration hose (2). The inlet for this hose is above the waterlevel, the air passing into the water filter through a submerged tube (5). A valve (6) is provided in the container lid for releasing expelled air and the aspiration hose is held over the face (1) by an elasticated strap passing over the back of the head.
