Abstract

1343630 Facial sauna apparatus; respiratory masks MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC WORKS Ltd 31 Dec 1971 [28 May 1971] 60967/71 Headings A5R and AST A facial sauna device comprises a nozzle D communicating with steam generating means C, and a hood F having an opening R to receive the user's face and arranged to surround the nozzle, said hood being provided with a concave part-spherical internal surface arranged so that steam sprayed from the nozzle is reflected by said surface and thereby led towards the opening R. A duct L for breathing is open to the exterior at one end mounted in a conduit 50, the other end 51 being adapted as a mask to receive the nose and mouth of the user. The hood comprises a fixed member f1 detachably mounted on a saucer-shaped receptacle B and a member f2 rotatably mounted on the member f1. The member f2 is curved inwardly at 54 surrounding the opening R and is provided with a ventilating hole 55. A liquid such as water and lemon juice is induced from a nozzle (3), Fig. 3 (not shown) disposed at right angles to the nozzle D by the flow of steam. The said liquid is stored in a container (1) and a further container 2 receives waste liquid.
