Abstract

The casting post is incorporated in a machine manufacturing precast concrete products, which includes a vibrating table that receives the moulds. A linearly reciprocating jack (10) actuated drawer mechanism (2) conveys a concrete batch from an overhead concrete chute, to a mould, moving from beneath the chute to s position over the mould and vice versa, and including a vibrating grill agitator (6) which assists concrete discharge. The drawer comprises a rectangular frame (2) containing a vertically floating frame (12), the primary frame being mounted a definite distance above a mould surface and the secondary frame (12) contacting the surface through elastic bearings. The arrangement improves drawer seal and vibration insulation, and the secondary frame (12) may be mounted on spring pistons bracketed to the primary (2). The grill (8) may be displaced by the jack and may have free movement (e) in either sense before contacting and transmitting movement to the drawer (2).
