Abstract

L'invention concerne le traitement de matériaux à l'arc. L'électrode faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type comportant un corps 1 dans lequel est fixée une monture 2, lesdits corps et monture étant tous deux en un matériau conducteur d'électricité et de chaleur et présentant des cavités communes 3,6 recevant un liquide réfrigérant, ainsi qu'un élément actif Il fixé rigidement dans ladite monture et réalisé en forme de cône tronqué dont la grande base est orientée vers la cavité de refroidissement et possède un évidement 12, et est caractérisé en ce que ledit évidement a la forme d'un segment sphérique. L'invention s'applique notamment à la fusion de minerais, pour l'élaboration, la refusion, le coupage et le soudage de métaux, l'application de revêtements, etc.
