Abstract

The container, suitable for liqs. and powders, has a tubular lining with thin flexible sides but a rigid base which fits that of the container. This rigidity keeps the sides parallel to the container walls and prevents inward collapse. It also enables the bottom end of vacuum extn. pipes to lie close to it. The lining is impervious to and unaffected by the contents and is e.g. polyethylene with sides 4 mils and base 50 mils thick.
