Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour préparer de l'acide isobutyrique. Pour préparer de l'acide isobutyrique par oxydation en phase liquide de l'isobutyraldéhyde en présence d'un composé contenant un métal alcalin, on effectue l'oxydation en maintenant la concentration en oxygène du gaz d'échappement du réacteur entre 1% en volume et la limite inférieure d'explosion. L'invention s'applique en particulier à un procédé industriel de production de l'acide isobutyrique avec des valeurs élevées du pourcentage de conversion, du rendement et de la vitesse de réaction.
