Abstract

The longitudinal vehicle seat adjuster has a supplementary profile which automatically locates the initial position of the seat during the return movement of the seat using skate which can be locked to the top seat runner. When the handle (19) is lifted to free the top and bottom runners (2, 1) it also works a lever (6) and catch (22) which penetrates the skate (10) to hold the skate and making it slide forward with the top runner while the skate retains its position with the supplementary profile (5) so that it returns to its original position when pushed back.
