Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour rendre infusibles une fibre de brai. On rend la fibre de brai infusible dans une atmosphère constituée d'air contenant du NO2 à une température élevée par introduction d'une claie 2 avec des barres 3 auxquelles la fibre de brai 1 est suspendue, dans un four comportant des chambres d'échange de gaz dans sa portion d'entrée et sa portion de sortie ainsi qu'au moins deux dispositifs de circulation de gaz avec échangeur de chaleur. L'invention permet de rendre infusible une fibre de brai avec une production élevée.
