Abstract

La présente invention concerne un convertisseur de couple. Dans ce convertisseur de couple une turbine du convertisseur principal de couple est connectée axialement de manière à coulisser à l'arbre de sortie 3 entre une pompe 4 disposée sur un côté de la turbine 6 et une coquille de carter 5 disposée sur l'autre côté assurant la connexion de la pompe avec l'arbre d'entrée, une embrayage à friction 8 étant interposé entre la turbine 6 et soit la coquille de carter 5, soit la pompe 4, de manière que lorsque le rapport de vitesses de la turbine à la pompe augmente, une force de poussée dirigée vers un des côtés et agissant sur les aubes de la turbine devient plus petite que la force de poussée dirigée vers l'autre côté agissant sur la coquille externe 6a de la turbine, par l'action de la circulation du fluide interne, ce par quoi, la turbine reçoit un mouvement de coulissement vers ledit autre côté et l'embrayage à friction est collé. Ce convertisseur de couple est utilisé dans la transmission d'un véhicule.
