Abstract

L'invention a pour but une poudre de cobalt métallique dont le diamètre moyen des particules est inférieur à 0,8 micron, avec un taux d'impuretés cationiques inférieur à 0,01 %. Selon l'invention, du chlorure de pentammine-cobalt est décomposé dans une solution diluée d'hydroxyde d'ammonium, de manière à former un précipité noir qui est recueilli et chauffé dans l'hydrogène pour obtenir directement la poudre de cobalt métallique. Application : production des carbures cémentés.
