Abstract

Ce système comprend une pompe hydraulique réversible 3 à débit variable, un moteur hydraulique 4 à débit variable qui est également utilisable comme pompe et une boîte 6 à deux vitesses. La pompe 3 et le moteur 4 sont reliés par une conduite d'alimentation 22 et une conduite de retour 24 qui peuvent être interverties et un accumulateur hydropneumatique 30 qui peut être branché sur la conduite d'alimentation 22. Le fonctionnement est commandé par un micro-ordinateur 48. Lorsque le véhicule décélère, l'énergie cinétique qui est normalement dissipée dans le moteur 1 est emmagasinée dans l'accumulateur 30 et est utilisée ensuite pour faire tourner les roues du véhicule, le moteur 1 étant coupé ou maintenu à bas régime De la force motrice excédentaire du moteur 1 peut egalement être emmagasinée dans l'accumulateur 30 et le moteur 1 peut entraîner les roues du véhicule directement aux vitesses elevées.
