Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de purification de p-amino-phénol brut qui contient l'éther 4,4'-diaminodiphénylique et autres impuretés. Ce procédé consiste à ajouter un composé de métal alcalin au p-aminophénpl brut, dans un milieu aqueux sous une atmosphère de gaz inerte et, éventuellement, en présence d'un agent réducteur pour obtenir une solution aqueuse d'un sel de métal alcalin de p-aminophénol, et à mettre en contact la solution aqueuse avec un solvant organique inerte non miscible à l'eau pour éliminer les impuretés par extraction dans le solvant.
