Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de récupération d'un sel d'ammonium quaternaire organique utilisé comme catalyseur dans une réaction entre un benzylnitrile et un halogénure en présence d'un alcali. La solution réactionnelle contient un alpha -alkyl- ou alpha -phénylbenzylnitrile qui est le produit recherché, l'alcali et le catalyseur. On ajoute de l'eau (étape A) à la solution réactionnelle pour que la concentration en alcali de la phase soit de 10 % ou moins, puis on sépare la phase aqueuse contenant le sel d'ammonium quaternaire organique de la phase huileuse contenant le benzylnitrile alpha -substitué désiré. On peut ensuite traiter la phase aqueuse en ajoutant de l'alcali (étape B) puis en l'extrayant par un solvant (étape C) pour obtenir une phase organique contenant le sel d'ammonium quaternaire que l'on peut réutiliser dans le processus initial.
