Abstract

Ce dispositif offre l'avantage d'une meilleure adhérence au sol et sa pose est simplifiée par rapport aux chaînes à neige utilisées jusqu'ici. Il consiste, pour chaque roue motrice du véhicule, en une chenille 1 interposée entre le sol et deux galets 3 coopérant avec la roue ou avec le tambour de la roue; selon un mode préféré de réalisation, la chenille 1 est disposée sur le pneu 2 de la roue motrice et sur lesdits galets 3, qui sont donc situés de part et d'autre du pneu et qui sont solidaires du moyeu 5 de la roue par l'intermédiaire de deux bras fixes 6 situés devant la roue, chacun étant fixé à l'une de ses extrémités audit moyeu 5 et à son autre extrémité à l'axe d'un galet 3, des roulements à billes étant montés à cet effet sur les galets 3 et sur le moyeu On équipe ainsi les roues motrices des automobiles, camions, motos, etc.
