687,438. Endless tracks for vehicles. BOMBARDIER, J. A. Nov. 1, 1950, No. 26621/50. Class 79(i) A vehicular endless track comprises longitudinally spaced cleats curved to follow the cross-sectional curvature of a tyre, each cleat being provided on its concave face with truncated conoidal members adapted to engage grooves in the tyre tread, and two endless flexible belts secured to lateral extensions of the cleats. As shown the endless track comprises the transverse cleats 22, the endless flexible belts 24 secured to the extensions 23 of the cleats by plates 25 and bolts 26, and the truncated conical members 27 being formed of rubber and bolted to the cleats, the members 27 engaging the grooves 29 in the tyre of a wheel 20. The track is shown applied to an endless track vehicle having features of Specification 679,896.
