Abstract

The engine has a cylindrical stator cont. an eccentri cylindrical rotor. A crankshaft attached to the rotor has its axis on the centreline of the stator. the rotor carries vanes which have pads at their outer ends. The pads are pinned to the vanes and to arms which are pinned to the rotor near its circumference. The arrangement of these links gives a motion which keeps the pads in contact with the stator and varies the volumes of the spaces separated by the vanes.
