Abstract

Les déchets sont introduits à l'extrémité d'une chambre cylindrique dont la paroi 3 est poreuse et formée par des enroulements parallèles en hélice d'un élément de section en forme de coin, ménageant entre eux des espaces de passage de l'eau et de filtrage des particules solides. Dans cette chambre, les déchets sont entraînés et comprimés par un transporteur à vis 4 dont la lame hélicoïdale est espacée de la surface interne de la paroi poreuse. L'espace annulaire ainsi ménagé se remplit d'une couche annulaire de fibres provenant de déchets qui constitue un agent filtrant. A la sortie de la chambre, le produit extrait a une teneur en matière solide supérieure à 40 %.
