Abstract

L'invention consiste à disposer sur un véhicule automobile de deux moteurs : le premier, dit de croisière, pour vaincre les forces << habituelles >> (aérodynamique, frottement, pesanteur) et le deuxième pour vaincre les forces << occasionnelles >> (accélérations, pesanteur sur une pente à fort pourcentage). Cette disposition nouvelle de l'ensemble propulsif d'un véhicule automobile permet une réduction importante de la consommation de carburant par l'optimisation du moteur de croisière et une réduction des coûts de fabrication. Dans le cas où le moteur d'accélération est un moteur électrique à courant continu, il est possible d'une part de récupérer une partie de l'énergie cinétique du véhicule lors des décélérations, ce qui diminue encore la consommation, et d'autre part, en désaccouplant le moteur de croisière, de ne fonctionner qu'avec le moteur électrique. Ainsi se trouve réglé le problème de la pollution dans les villes et le problème de l'autonomie des véhicules électriques. L'invention est utilisable sur tous les types de véhicules terrestres dont les besoins en puissance sont très variables suivant les utilisations.
