Abstract

Acier structural soudable au niobium. Acier contenant de 0,05 à 0,08 % de C, 0,01 à 0,50 % Si, 1,20 à 2,50 % Mn, 0,005 à 0,07 % Nb, 0,005 à 0,030 % Ti, 0,005 à 0,06 % Al et le complément de fer et d'impuretés inévitables, ØC(%) + ION (%)õ n'étant pas supérieur à 0,12 % et Nb (%) x ØC(%) + ION (%)õ n'étant pas supérieur à 4 x 10**-3, et de préférence au moins un élément intervenant dans la quantité prescrite et choisi dans le groupe comprenant jusqu'à 0,50 % Cu, jusqu'à 1,50 % Ni, jusqu'à 0,50 % Cr, jusqu'à 0,60 % Mo, jusqu'a 0,10 % V, jusqu'à 0,003 % B, jusqu'à 0,02 % Ce et jusqu'à 0,003 % Ca. Cet acier présente une excellente ténacité dans la zone affectée par la chaleur de soudage ainsi qu'une excellente résistance au criquage par soudage. Application aux installations telles que réservoirs ou pipelines travaillant ou mis en place à très basses températures.
