Abstract
L'invention concerne la métallurgie. La fonte faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type contenant du carbone, du silicium, du manganèse, de l'aluminium, du calcium, du phosphore, du soufre et du fer, et est caractérisée en ce qu'elle contient en outre du cérium, la composition pondérale de ladite fonte étant la suivante : - carbone, de 2,8 à 4,0 %; - silicium, de 1,5 à 2,6 %; - manganèse, de 0,2 à 1,2 %; - aluminium, de 0,06 à 0,6 %; - calcium, de 0,04 à 0,10 %; - soufre, jusqu'à 0,20 %; - cérium, de 0,01 à 0,05 %; - phosphore, jusqu'à 0,30 %; - fer, le reste. L'invention permet notamment d'obtenir des moulages de forme compliquée, comportant des parties d'épaisseur inférieure à 4 mm, et ne présentant aucune couche blanche superficielle.
