Abstract
Ce four est du type comportant des pistes de glissement prévues dans une chambre de four fermée, pour l'avance pas à pas de bennes disposées l'une à la suite de l'autre entre un poste de chargement et un poste de déchargement raccordé de façon étanche aux gaz à la chambre de four, un dispositif de transfert étant disposé dans le domaine de chaque poste pour déplacer individuellement les bennes d'une piste de glissement à l'autre, les bennes pleines étant introduites automatiquement dans le poste de déchargement et vidées dans un bain de trempe au moyen d'un dispositif basculeur raccordé à un puits de chute. Suivant l'invention, il est caractérisé en ce que les pistes de glissement 15, 16, 17 sont dans le même plan que le poste de chargement 11 et que le poste de déchargement 12, et en ce qu'il est prévu au moins deux pistes de glissement 15, 16 pour le transport des bennes pleines 22, ces pistes étant disposées symétriquement par rapport à une piste de glissement 17 prévue pour le transport de retour des bennes vides 22.
