Abstract

The control device shuts down a gas heater, particularly for water or central heating, when the supply to the burner is cut off on the increase of the carbon monoxide content of the combustion products, resulting from furring of the heat exchanger or overloading of the burner. It comprises a thermal probe (9) mounted in a sealed housing in the combustion chamber wall and insulated from the latter. A thermostat (8), fuse, etc reacts to temperature increase, and shuts off the gas supply or activates an alarm.
