Abstract

Dans un appareil d'impression de matrice de points, les caractères à imprimer sont fournis par l'intermédiaire d'une bascule d'entrée 88 et stockés dans une mémoire d'entrée 80. L'impression est exécutée par plusieurs fils d'impression montés sur un chariot alternatif 22 de telle sorte que des lignes de points sont imprimées dans les deux sens de déplacement du chariot Les données du caractère d'entrée font solliciter une mémoire de générateur de caractères 52 par un registre d'adresse 92 afin d'obtenir les données de lignes appropriées relatives au caractère imprimé, les données de lignes résultantes étant mises en forme en fonction de la taille de la matrice à imprimer et du sens de déplacement du chariot. Une plaquette de synchronisation 38 fixée au chariot comporte des fentes de synchronisation et ses zones de positions initiales constituées par une zone fenêtre 40 et une zone sombre 42 se situant respectivement aux extrémités opposées de la plaquette et qui déterminent le sens de déplacement initial du chariot. Des caractères double largeur peuvent être imprimés en fonction de données de contrôle fournies par un réseau logique programmable 82.
