Abstract

L'invention concerne des perfectionnements à un procédé de récupération d'alcali caustique à partir d'une liqueur alcaline épuisée ou usée. On effectue la calcination de la liqueur alcaline épuisée avec de l'oxyde de fer pour obtenir un produit contenant un ferrate alcalin et on hydrolyse le produit de la calcination à une température supérieure à 110 degrés C et sous pression pour maintenir la phase liquide, et l'on recueille l'alcali caustique sous la forme d'une solution aqueuse de concentration supérieure à 15 % en poids approximativement. Les procédés selon l'invention, pour la récupération d'alcali, conduisent à un rendement d'hydrolyse supérieur avec une concentration en fer dissous extrêmement faible.
